Variations of push up

Get bored of the same old easy push up?
Want some push up that are more challenging?

There are few variations of push up you can try.

Planche push ups.
An extremely difficult push up performed by only hands, without resting the feet on the floor. To do this push up, the body's center of gravity must be kept over the hands while performing the push up. The legs elevated in the air.

Knuckle push ups.
It's performed by using your knuckles to do push ups. This push up is commonly used in martial arts or boxing. It builds wrist strength for punching. This push up also strengthen bones and build calluses on the knuckles to reduce pain in punching.

Maltese push ups.
Maltese push up is a gymnastic variation of push upss, in which the hands are positioned closer to the hips and are opposed to the pectorals, but with an extremely great distance between them.

Hindu push ups.
A form of push up found in Indian martial arts and Indian physical culture. It's performed by starting from a downward dog position, bend your elbows and lower your chest down and forward. Keep pushing forward and up until your body is in the upward dog position. From there, push your body straight back to the starting position. The Hindu push up was also a part of the exercise regimen of Bruce Lee.

Modified push ups.
Also called the "Ladies' push up". It's performed by supporting the lower body on the knees instead of the toes, which reduces the difficulty.

PUSH UPS!!!

Never been able to lift something very heavy?
Always envy your friends have BIG arm muscles?
Always want to go to gym for arm workouts but can't?

Fear not!
Just do PUSH UPS!!

Push ups, a very common strength training exercise performed in a prone position, lying horizontal while facing front/down.

You can do push ups almost anywhere you want. Be it in room, kitchen, garden or even toilet! Instead of always go to gym and lift weights. Make your own house your own gym, push ups are as good as lifting weights anyway ~

Push ups not only trains your arm, it also trains almost your whole body if done properly. The reason is that your core and upper body strength must be coordinated.

Push ups are perfect for warming up for they stimulate blood circulation and preparing the body for sports or work outs.

Just do at least 30 reps a day, it's good for ya! So your parents won't scream at you saying you're unfit due to time overspent on computers!
